The Fountain of Bilbao, Plaza de Mijo, Plaza de España, the Grand Palace of Spain and other places of interest, the Palace is the building of the Spanish royal family in its heyday, brilliant and beautiful, presenting the sacred afterglow of the empire of the past; and represents the centre point of Spain ‘zero kilometre’ is a small square tiles, which is placed in the pedestrian walkway of the Puerta del Sol. The Puerta del Sol is lined with shops and department stores, a good place to shop for leather products, clothing and souvenirs; in the afternoon, bid farewell to Madrid and head to Zaragoza. Upon arrival, go straight to Plaza de los Pillars, where the main church of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Pillars, built in Baroque style between 1681 and 1872, is dedicated to Our Lady of the Pillars, which was called by the Pope as ‘the mother of the Spanish people’ and was known as the first Notre Dame of Spain in history; there are many restaurants and cafes in the square, where the group is free to enjoy the dinner.

Afterwards, visit the Sagrada Familia Church, the most representative church in Barcelona, which is the masterpiece of Gaudi, the ‘poet of architecture’; then visit the Luyeno Stadium for photos and souvenirs. After the tour, visit the Olympic Stadium on the hill of Montjuïc, where the 1992 Olympic Games were held, with a panoramic view of the city from the hill. Monday: Barcelona - Valencia - Alicante (525 km)

In the morning, we will start our journey along the coast to Valencia, Spain's third-largest city. Historically, Valencia has always been the gateway to the Mediterranean Sea and a centre of commerce and culture. Valencia's radiance has attracted Arabs to come and go, giving Valencia the stimulus for cultural exchanges and economic and trade reforms, as well as a prosperity and lustre that no other city has ever enjoyed. Today, Valencia has lost its glamour, but it is still an important city for trade fairs and exhibitions, which take place throughout the year. After arriving, visit the old town square, the old city gates and the Valencian Cathedral, whose three gates at the entrance are a reminder of its history, but the most striking feature is the onyx cup in the south wing of the chapel, which, according to legend, was the chalice used at the Last Supper of Jesus. The tour ends with a photo stop at the City of Arts and Sciences. After the tour, head towards the beach resort town of Alicante on the Costa Blanca.

Tuesday: Alicante - Granada (485 km)

In the morning you will leave for Granada, a city in the highlands of the province of Andalucía, a historical city ruled successively by the Visigoths and Arabs, and the last stronghold of the Moorish Arab dynasty that ruled the Iberian Peninsula for 800 years, before King Fernandez succeeded in expelling the Arabs from the country and completing the unification of Spain. In the 15th century, King Fernandes succeeded in expelling the Arabs and completing the unification of Spain, leaving behind a variety of civilisations and cultural relics. After arriving at Granada, take a photo outside the Alhambra (also known as the Red Palace), a product of the ‘Golden Age’ of the Moors. Afterwards, we will visit Granada city centre and the Old Town, where the exquisite architecture and freshness of the city is a delightful sight to behold. After the tour, proceed to the white mountain town of Mijas, a ‘group activity at your own expense’. The flowery white town of Mijas has very pleasant houses with white walls and red tiles, and the whole town spreads out along the foothills of the gently sloping mountains, with a pure and unadulterated white landscape.

Wednesday: Granada - Seville (240 km)

In the morning, an ‘optional group activity’ starts with a trip to Ronda, the home of the Spanish matadors. Ronda, the oldest bullfighting ring in Spain, has witnessed the love-hate relationship of the bullfighters of that era; Ronda, under its seemingly calm expression today, still houses the strongest Spanish flavour, as evidenced by the romantic and serene white houses that reside on top of the forbidding cliffs. After the tour we continue to Seville, the soul of Andalusia, the former capital of the Muslim dynasty, guardian angel of Andalusian culture, birthplace of the flamenco dance, the setting of the novel Carmen and the fourth largest city in Spain. Upon arrival, visit the Cathedral, built in the 16th century, which houses a chapel dedicated to the royal family and the tombs of several medieval kings; next to the main altar is the mausoleum of Christopher Columbus, a tribute to the great navigator for his discovery of the New World; and visit the Castle of Alcázar, which used to be one of the Muslim palaces and palaces of the Spanish dynasties, and which was inscribed on the United Nations list of World Heritage Sites in 1987. Afterwards, stroll through the Holy Cross, the Golden Tower and the María Luisa Park, the site of the 1992 World Exhibition, and the Plaza de España, where the finely crafted ceramic paintings tell the story of Spain's history and splendour in the past.
